This is the second video continuing a deeper look into why I am called, The Pink Survivor. Part 1, was an introduction and a little bit about me. Part 2, is a brief talk about my breast cancer diagnosis and treatments. No two breast cancers are alike! We all have different diagnosis and treatments based on many factors like, tumor size, stage and grade, hormone positive or negative, our age and family history just to name a few. I hope by sharing here it will help you understand more about what I went through and that you are not alone! I was diagnosed in early 2017 following a routine mammogram. No signs or symptoms. What followed was a whirlwind of doctors appointments and scans. I had two surgeries (a double mastectomy and reconstruction), 12 weeks of chemo and a year of Herceptin treatments.
