Baked stuffed buns ✨ Buns made with kefir dough, baked in the oven. They turn out soft, fluffy, and delicious. Ingredients For the dough: 500 ml kefir (room temperature) 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp salt 1 tbsp sugar 2 tbsp oil 700 g flour For the filling: Mashed potatoes with dill Sauerkraut with potatoes For brushing: 1 egg yolk + 1 tbsp milk Instructions 1. Prepare the Dough: Mix baking soda into kefir, let sit for 5 minutes. Add salt, sugar, oil, and gradually mix in flour to form a soft dough. Let rest for 15–20 minutes. 2. Prepare the Filling: Boil potatoes and mash them. Sauté chopped onions in oil until golden, then mix with potatoes, salt, pepper, and dill. Rinse sauerkraut, drain excess liquid, mix with oil, salt, and pepper. (Optional) Combine mashed potatoes with sauerkraut for a mixed filling. 3. Shape the buns: Divide dough into 2 parts, roll out each to 5 mm thick. Cut circles using a glass. Add filling, pinch edges, and shape into pirozhki. Place seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet. 4. Bake: Brush with egg yolk and milk mixture. Bake at 180°C for 20–25 minutes until golden brown. OR 5. Pan-Fry: Fry in a little oil over medium heat until golden on both sides. Enjoy! 😘
