4 killed in Washington stabbing rampage after protection order violation, deputy kills suspect

Five people are dead, including the suspect, after what authorities say was a protection order violation near Gig Harbor that escalated into a stabbing in the street and an exchange of gunfire with deputies, according to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO). The incident occurred in the 14000 block of 87th Avenue Court Northwest. Authorities said the initial call came in at 8:41 a.m. as an “order violation in progress.” The sheriff’s office said an adult man went to the home despite a no-contact order against him. Deputies later confirmed the order was not valid because it had not yet been served.
