In garment factories, cutting isn’t done one layer at a time like at a tailor’s shop. To achieve true economies of scale, the fabric is stacked in dozens — even up to 100 layers and then cut all at once ✂️ Here’s what happens: 🪡 Fabric is laid out carefully in layers 🧶 Knitted fabrics must “relax” for 24 hours before cutting (to control stretch and shrinkage) 📏 A marker is placed on top to guide cutting ⚙️ Industrial cutting machines slice through very thick stacks 🧩 Panels are sorted by size (S/M/L etc.) 📦 Pieces are bundled and labeled before going to the sewing lines ⚠️ Admin is critical: All small sizes together, all large sizes together — otherwise chaos! ✨ Key takeaway Proper relaxing, cutting accuracy, and size bundling are essential so garments stay in spec and pass inspection ✔️ Can you see how talking to an independent consultant with 15+ years experience working in Vietnam will help you do business in Vietnam?
