THE BIBLE IS GOD’S STORY 📖 In today’s devotional, we’re challenged with an important question: How do you view the Bible? The way we see Scripture shapes the way we relate to God. Some people view the Bible as a rule book — a list of commandments and guidelines to follow. While the Bible certainly contains wisdom and instruction, reducing it to rules alone can cause us to miss the bigger picture. Others treat the Bible like a collection of role models. Yet every person in Scripture — Moses, David, Samson, Thomas — was flawed. Their stories are powerful, but none of them are perfect examples to follow. And some approach the Bible as simply a history book, full of ancient events and stories from the past. But the Bible is far more than rules, role models, or history. The Bible is God’s story. From Genesis to Revelation, Scripture tells the story of God’s love, His plan for redemption, and His desire to restore humanity. After the fall in the Garden of Eden, God set into motion a plan that would ultimately lead to Jesus Christ — the Savior sent to redeem us. The entire Bible points to Him. When we read Scripture through that lens, we begin to see that every part of the story reveals who God is and how deeply He loves His people. And the greatest part of the story? In the end, God wins.
