..."Jaime, do you even know vocal science?!?" Do you really need to learn all the latest vocal lingo, like arytenoid rattle, or H1, or cricothyroid tilt? Personally, I don't think you need any of this to improve your singing voice. I never needed to compartmentalize every single type of scream or vocal tone to teach it. I come from a background of focusing on physical sensations and visualization. However, some singers do enjoy learning about vocal anatomy and science. I'll stop right here and give a little shout out to John Henny. John is a wonderful coach who is great at explaining voice science and I thoroughly enjoyed his program.
