Standing Yoga poses have many benefits, improving balance as well as strengthening and stretching all muscle groups throughout the body. You will be using your body weight to create this challenge. We are applying this controlled rhythmic breath to bring power into the body and the bandhas, the two root locks, to keep the energy in the body and the gaze to keep the mind focused. These dynamic poses use muscles that are some of the largest muscles in the body, which contributes to the burning of stubborn fat and toning the full body. This 30 minute no equipment needed flow is a full body stretching routine that is great for general wellness, flexibility, and pain relief. If you have flexibility goals, this is a great class to do regularly to improve hip and hamstring mobility and shoulder flexibility and spinal rotation. We start this lesson standing focusing on the breath to begin our stretch flow, ending with a laying mediation called Savasana. Enjoy and REMEMBER, a little bit of yoga stretching every day is much better than long sessions that are done now and then. Be sure to listen to your body and move in a way that feels good and does not cause pain. Please remember to make any modifications for your body to be safe and feel good.
