Bass Lake Provincial Park Campground Review - Orillia, Ontario, Canada Bass Lake Provincial Park is located 10 minutes outside of Orillia in Southern Ontario. This was our 2nd time camping at Bass Lake and we were happy to be back! Bass Lake is a small provincial park offering camping, a day use area and waterfront access. There is one sand beach at the park with a nice, gradually descending swimming area which was great for everyone! The lake itself is a popular location for boating, fishing and swimming. At the park there is a boat launch and 3 docks available. The Park Store offers treats, merchandise and canoe, kayak and paddle board rentals. There are 182 campsites (both electric and non-electric) located in 4 different campgrounds in the park. Throughout the campgrounds are 2 comfort stations with showers and flush toilets along with 5 vault toilets. Each campsite has a picnic table and fire pit. The park has a trailer fill/dump station with easy loop around access. Bass Lake has an excellent playground right near the beach that is great for kids of all ages. There are 2.8 kilometers of trail throughout the park, part of which is a paved path leading from the beach along the waterfront. There are also 3 large picnic shelters available for reservation. If you’re just visiting for the day, permits can be purchased online up to 5 days ahead of time. We loved our time at Bass Lake! There is nothing especially spectacular about this little park, but it is a great place to visit if you’re looking for a nice campsite and lakefront access!
