When Pumpkin Pie Isn't a Thing Here

It's difficult to find pumpkin pie where I live (even canned pumpkin puree/pre-made pie crust), so I decided to make everything from scratch. I reviewed a few recipes and videos and came up with my own little variation. The pie took effort but it turned out great - the texture of the filling was silky smooth and the crust was flaky, buttery and nutty. Ingredients: Crust (makes two) 1.5 cups (150g) whole wheat flour 1.5 cups (150g) white flour 4 tsp sugar Pinch of salt 1/2 cup (120ml) ice cold water (I used a little under) 1 cup (230 g) of butter Pumpkin Filling 1 medium-sized roasted butternut squash to make 2 cups of puree 1 cup (230 ml) of sweetened condensed milk (I used a little under) 1 tbsp of molasses Spices: cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, cloves 3 eggs A pinch of salt Music𝄞: Original background music created by me.
