This practice prepares the body for Garudasana (Eagle Pose) with a strong emphasis on shoulder mobility, upper-back awareness, and steady balance. Through flowing arm variations, gentle twists, and grounding standing work, we build the openness and stability needed for eagle - exploring accessible options as well as deeper expressions so everyone can meet the pose where they are. We approach Garudasana with focus, steadiness, and breath, inspired by the story of Garuda, the shape-shifting eagle god and divine carrier of Vishnu, who represents courage, clarity, and the power that comes from commitment and devotion. As the body wraps and roots, we practice finding freedom within constraint, moving with intention and calm strength. Take your time, breathe, relax and focus.
