History tends to describe the early 1700s as a period of recovery and progress. New nations emerge, cities expand, and modern systems begin to take shape. But when you look closely at the historical record itself, something feels off. In this video, I examine the missing history that follows the catastrophe of 1700. Across different regions, documentation thins out. Detailed records are replaced with summaries. Engineering methods change without explanation. Entire systems that existed before this period are no longer discussed, reused, or clearly transitioned away from. Using maps, construction records, architectural timelines, and surviving Old World structures, this investigation focuses on what disappears after 1700 — not just buildings, but continuity. Knowledge gaps appear where you would expect detailed accounts of recovery, repair, and adaptation. I’m not arguing for a single cause or hidden narrative. I’m documenting a silence. Because if a catastrophe reshaped the Old World as deeply as the evidence suggests, the most important question isn’t what happened during it — it’s why so much of what came immediately after was never fully recorded at all.
