From the 2000 release on RPM Records of Sharon Sheeley demos, here is "She'll Be There" sung by Delaney Bramlett with Leon Russell on piano. It could be PJ Proby singing along, or possibly Glen Campbell. Micky Dolenz of The Monkees recorded it in February 1967, accompanied by himself on guitar and his sister Gemma Marie "Coco" singing along. Micky's version appeared on the CD Missing Links by The Monkees, with no songwriting credit listed. It was written by Sharon with Raul Frank Abeyta. You know some of his other songs, like Wayne Newton's "Comin' On Too Strong," and "Shame Girl," a song recorded by The Neptunes. Raul wrote those two with Gary Usher, and Leon was pianist on them. Raul also wrote "School Bus Blues" by The Super Stocks (another Gary Usher project Leon played on). Sharon was married to DJ Jimmy O'Neill when most of the demos were recorded, and they were the creators of the popular 60s TV show Shindig!
