Almost one hundred years ago, the material of a thousand uses was claimed. This ubiquitous, inexpensive material was promised to fit everything from pipelines to jewelry. A hundred years later, everyone is now aware of the controversy around plastics. Can we stop using plastics? Does sustainable necessarily mean expensive? In his talk, Adi will bust some of the industry myths. Adi uses his industrial, mathematical, and financial background and his outside-the-box thinking to drive a change to a more circular and sustainable manufacturing future. When Adi Goldman began his professional transition from the heavy to the broadly defined ‘CleanTech’ industry in 2019, he did not anticipate having to defend a solution that “sounds too good to be true.” During his years of visiting manufacturing facilities across the globe as Marketing & Business Development Lead for ‘APM,’ providing measurement solutions for bulk solids, Adi recognized the challenges and bottlenecks throughout the plastic supply chain. Noticing the pattern took Adi deep down the rabbit hole. Adi believes his team at Biotic has the formula to change the world of plastics as we know it with a cost-comparative ‘drop-in’ solution that seamlessly adapts to existing manufacturing lines and abundant biomass that safely biodegrades in any environment.
