Mud Volcanos of Qobustan 🇦🇿

One of the best day trips from Baku will only take you about 60km southwest of the capital city, but the difference in the landscape is astounding. Azerbaijan's semi desert might be a barren land, but with a lot hiding within it. We visited the Qobustan National Park with its famed ancient carvings (petroglyphs) and discovered a little bit about the lifestyle of Palaeolithic people in the region. Our next stop were the very impressive, and very bubbly, mud volcanos, which are still pretty unaccessible by an unpaved road, although Lada taxis seem to have no problem making the journey. This was the last part of our beautiful Azerbaijan trip, and we couldn't have ended it on a better note.
