Out at the logging camp from the 1890's doing some metal detecting and relic hunting there is still a lot of stuff and things in the ground to be found. Not only that but on top of the ground ! These loggers really left a mess of stuff from the era and I am happy they did. today I took the Teknetics G2+ with small 5 inch coil for target separation and it always does a great job. This is old colonial farmland long abandoned but had a late 1800s work site here and its been deserted since. No cellar hole, no rock walls, no cart path and a lot of things to dig up. Lanterns, tools, bells, buckles, buttons, suspenders, bottles and so many more great finds I dug here this past summer. Metal detecting old places like this way out in the woods is always amazing.
