On 04/26/25, at approximately 1:08 PM, I, Trooper Robert Plyler #357, was advised by another Trooper Kyle Robinson of a Ford Mustang traveling east on I-30 near mile-marker 124 that Benton Police Department was attempting to catch up to. Trooper Robinson advised the vehicle was exceeding 100 mph and passing other cars on the shoulder. I stopped on I-30 east bound and waited to intercept the vehicle near mile marker 130. The car approached me from behind and passed me, exceeding 100 mph. As I pulled off the shoulder, the vehicle accelerated, started passing traffic on the outside and inside shoulder, and continued traveling at a high rate of speed in medium to heavy traffic flow. The vehicle took exit 134 and continued south on Scott Hamilton towards Baseline Road. The car continued south, crossed the northbound traffic lane into oncoming traffic as he passed stopped vehicles, and failed to stop for a red traffic signal light at the intersection. The car then traveled east on Baseline Road, where Trooper Charles Greeno #490 intercepted him near Baseline Road and Arch Street. The vehicle stopped in the inside traffic lane, and the driver "Daniel Rayden" and passenger "Jack Southwell" put their hands out the windows. Rayden and Southwell were placed into custody and placed in the rear of my patrol unit. During an inventory of the vehicle, a large bottle of alcohol was located on the front passenger floor of the car. Southwelll was released without charges.
