I haven’t done a burnout with the new engine with the new clutch. I really am trying to not break anything. Having said that, I can't have this “one tire fire” burnout anymore. I installed a Trutrac Posi because they are fire and forget, and don't require maintenance. I did some calculations and the theoretical max speed of this 220 MPH. That’s way too fast, I want to be able to use all gears and use this truck as a truck. So I got some tall gears to go with the truetac. 4.88s should do the job. My daily driver, a 1992 Chevy C1500 2wd long bed, GMT400, had a blown engine and needed to be swapped. I bought a 5.3L LS1 and installed it then proceeded to blow it up. The new engine is also a Gen3 Iron Block LS1 5.3L. I used everything I could from the old LS1. I had also bought and installed a T56 with a stage two clutch, whatever that means. I want to do this swap to make my truck back to my daily driver, but make the driving experience a little more fun. This video isn’t an instructional or a ‘How to’ video. It’s a ‘how I did it’ video, it’s for entertainment purposes only. Do not attempt to do what I do. Please use all recommended safety gear and PPE for the task you are accomplishing.
