All Digital Weeks 2025: Our Digital Village – Co designed Digital Education in Rural Areas

The rapid digital transformation of recent years, accelerated by the Covid-19 pandemic, has highlighted the digital divide between urban and rural areas. Across Europe, there is a growing need to enhance digital and transversal skills among residents in peripheral regions, equipping them for the challenges of an increasingly digital future. The Our Digital Village project leverages Reciprocal Maieutics, a pedagogical approach rooted in the work of Danilo Dolci, to engage rural communities in co-creating educational content tailored to their specific needs. This participatory method fosters active community involvement, ensuring a long-term transition toward digital inclusion. During the webinar, we will examine the different phases of the project, with a particular focus on the Reciprocal Maieutic Approach (RMA) and its potential to initiate grassroots participation and community-driven change.
