REDDIT: https://redd.it/3hz2lv Today we're doing knysza. It's a Wrocław (my home town) speciality, generally a street food. It's a pizza bun stuffed with garlic sauce and veggies. It's delicious even watching it. But it was even tastier. If you happen to have some knowledge about knyszas, I'd like to hear about them. Write to me here, or on facebook, or to my e-mail address. INGREDIENTS Pizza bun: 25g yeast 1 glass of milk/water 2 glasses of flour 1 tsp sugar 1 tbsp oil Sauce: 3 tbsp mayonaise 3 tbsp sour cream 1 tbsp mustard sauce 3 cloves of garlic 1 onion salt, pepper, sugar Filling: any of the following: cabbage, red cabbage, carrots, cucumber, bell peppers, corn, tomatoes, onion chicken, pork or beef slices Feel free to experiment with vegetables or meats PREPARATION 1) Prepare buns. Create leaven with sugar, milk and yeast. Mix the rest of ingredients after 10 minutes have passed. Dough can't be watery, adjust with flour. 2) Bake them for 10-15 minutes in 180-220C (350-400F). 3) Create sauce. Dice onions into very small pieces. Mash the garlic. Combine all the ingredients and let it set aside. Season for taste. 4) Make knysza: cut buns in the middle, carve them from inside to create a pocket. Fill it with sauce and veggies. Layer them.
