Part 8: using Personal Narratives to Build Trust __________________________________________________________________________ This module focuses on methods that can be used to build trust when dealing with disagreement. Disagreement can erode trust, especially in healthcare settings. People may doubt your trustworthiness if their experiences differ from what you're saying. To rebuild trust amid disagreements, sharing personal stories alongside data can enhance credibility. Stories that reveal vulnerability and personal struggles are key in fostering trust and persuasiveness. Participant Instructions: Think of a belief you hold and what life experiences led you to hold that belief. Write a story of 3-5 sentences explaining how you came to hold that particular position.
