Biggest problem was ships getting in front of each other, and not following orders to get out of the way. Watching a long battle end that way is exasperating. I wonder if retreat at best speed would have better effects than rally civ & waypoint, and if distance for waypoints matter. Regarding commanding, I would have assumed that 'invisible inaction' could also have been happening to a ship I wasnt keeping my eye on, but at a glance DCR suggests it wasnt a huge issue — at first. In phases 2 and 3, if i judge purely off DCR, one legion was only doing half the damage of the others (ignoring fighters). It is not wise for legions to chase ships, and a really nice strategy I haven't figured out yet would be to somehow make the legions 'ignore' the ships for them to get closer before unloading all magazines. Biggest thing im not sure about is skills. I'm not sure if helmsmanship would make it better when a ship is stuck in front of the other. Reckless AI may also be better than aggressive when i want legions to burn drive down enemies. Gunnery implants may also make needlers & things overall better, but a skill is very expensive. I suppose IM and DC may be traded, provided ARU is s-modded. I actually started out with those, but was frustrated with how easily the legion died. I didn't have my final fit then, so things may run different with it. Tried all needler, but AI has issues with firing them as PD at fighers and overfluxxing hard. I also have my needlers and HMDs in a lot of different weapon groups, as I noticed that AI did not like firing linked needlers when flux was medium-high. Alternating may solve this issue. Hephag initially did better than quad neocoil in separate weapon groups on both autofire and true pd-autofire (i think?), but neocoil won out when I linked them together. A thumper in the middle may also be good. It was better than a needler when I had Hephag. Not sure if they should also be alternating instead of linked. Gladius is just the best fighter. Warthog didn't perform well with earlier versions of this fit, but did ok for the missile fit below. Not worth the extra OP though. Bombers with DTA is not a good idea for any fit imo, as IME there is no strategic timing with them. Broadswords are also outperformed. Flash spam does not suit the ship. Ran talons, forgot how they did but sparks should just be better. Regarding derelict operations, you could leave the damaged ships in storage until you need them/get hull restoration for just long enough for CR to max, i guess. Maxxing d-mods on kites will also bring down their DP to 1. I don't think this would always possible with 1 kite, as sometimes you dont get two comm relays. This fit would also likely work, provided that missiles do not run out. Probably something like , with IM maybe traded for helmsmanship (could also try mixing kinetic/HE larges)
