Underwater Fish Cam - April 2021 Recap

The tarpon and snook moved in this month, and as the month went on the mangrove snapper and blue jacks came back. We got to watch the "bee's" (sergeant majors) grow along with the little baby pork fry - it now has two stripes. For about 2 weeks, almost every other night, we had an octopus visit the dome. We started the month with a broken wiper and finished the month with a broken wiper.... again. Thousands of comb jellies moved in one day, and the moon jellies swayed in the sunlight. The best part was the manatees with their intimate graceful dance and the manta ray fly by. The lookdowns seemed to be a bit frisky and aggressive and they even took in a roque french angel as one of their own. An adult sergeant major went on the attack and chased the other fish away until the chub got mouthy with it.
