Thinktool Platinum S10 Pro compared to three dongles. Do you really need to buy a tablet?

In this video, I compare the Thinktool Platinum S10 Pro tablet to three different dongles. The Thinktool Thinkdiag 2, the Topdon Topscan Pro, and the XTool A30M. Do you really need to spend the extra money on a tablet when there are much cheaper options? All three dongles are fully-functional, bi-directional devices capable of just about anything a much more expensive tablet can do. Depending on your needs, you may be able to use a dongle and be able to do anything you would ever want to do. With vehicles becoming increasingly more complicated on what seems to be a daily basis, a fully-functional, bi-directional dongle is a must-have for the DIY'er to have in their tool box. Depending on which one you choose, you could have one for about $60. Two of the dongles I used in this video require a yearly subscription fee after the first year, and one has a higher up-front cost, but it has lifetime updates with no other fees. Even if you don't do your own work, having a dongle with the capabilities of those which are available, you can be much better informed as to what is wrong with your vehicle when you take it somewhere to have it serviced. You will no longer be at the mercy of someone telling you what is wrong and how much is will cost, not knowing if they are telling you the truth or not. There are many reputable shops out there who do good work at a fair price, but unfortunately there are those who take advantage of people if given the opportunity. A little bit of information goes a long way. With a comparatively inexpensive dongle, you can at the very least gather enough information to tell if you should get a second opinion.
