The Stunning Abandoned Grisham Farm House in the Mountains of West Virginia *Built in 1898

This lonesome old farm house tucked away in a copse of trees in West Virginia was built around 1890-1900, raising horses and cattle as well as growing a number of crops. Unfortunately it’s the last hold out in the area as suburbs and new housing developments spring up around it and now it appears the house and woods around will be the location of 12 new custom built Ryan homes. The house has sat vacant for a quarter of a century after the final owners passed away and has sat patiently waiting for a new owner which would appear was never meant to be. One sad but undoubtedly recurring story in these old houses. Maybe all that which you are assured to relinquish forever, likely was never what you thought it to be in the first place.
