They are grilled finger-sized sausages of minced meat, often lamb, beef, pork, veal, or a combination. The onions, garlic, and paprika enhance the flavor of the meat without overpowering it. The baking powder is added to form more cohesive sausages. Ćevapi is a fantastic dish anytime. Usually, it is served with raw onions, sour cream, and Lepinja, a soft and fluffy flatbread popular throughout the Balkans (I used a more conventional Pita bread, which worked well).
