CCF Digestive Herbal Tea Recipe, servings 8 Ingredients: • 1 tablespoon whole coriander seeds • 1 tablespoon whole cumin seeds • 1 tablespoon whole fennel seeds • 1 quart filtered water 1. Into a medium-sized pot add the whole seeds and water. Bring to a boil, lower heat and simmer for 5-10 minutes. Strain. Once cooled store in the fridge. Note: Most times, I let the spices sit in the water until the end of the day, then strain and store in the fridge. This makes for a nice strong brew. You can reuse the spices to make a weaker yet still very tasty tea. Fennel calms all three doshas. It acts as a digestive aid and as a diuretic. It helps to get rid of intestinal worms and can relieve hemorrhoids. In Indian restaurants, fennel seeds and natural sugar are chewed after meals to support digestion.
