Chef Jeremy Cabrera came from humble beginnings and learned from an early age that food was equal to life itself. At the age of 14, he found himself working in a commercial kitchen and immediately he was hooked on everything gastronomy. By 21, he was working in Las Vegas as an Executive Chef. Although this was a short stint, he learned valuable lessons. A while later, he helped open Petras Greek Taverna in Las Vegas. When he met Ari Weiwasser, the Chef/Owner of Glen Ellen Star in Kenwood, California, Ari asked Jeremy to go work for him — which he did. Jeremy was young, ambitious, and always looking for the next big opportunity. To list some of the names: Taps Restaurant and Taproom, Revel & Roost, Barndiva, Woodfour, and most importantly, his own spot called 4th Street Social Club. Jeremy believes food should be art — that's why it is called culinary arts, not culinary jobs. To him, food should be a cartoon on a plate. He is currently creating that plate, and many more, at Little Saint Restaurant in Healdsburg, California. This is a story about a young man who spent time in foster care and later had to survive on the streets of Sonoma County. He did not let that difficult childhood stop him from chasing his passion — a passion that had to do with food, because food was not just something to enjoy, but rather something to survive with. 🔔 Subscribe and hit the notification bell to join me on this flavorful adventure!
