According to Ghalib, the richness and significance of the underlying ideas and emotions are what elevate a composition to the realm of poetry. In this ghazal, the beauty of the composition extends beyond the profound meanings embedded within its verses. There is an undeniable pleasure to be found in the choice of its rhyming words and a unique refrain.
