“Klokov” Style Stiff Legged Deadlift Variation - Strongman Training Library Not sure if this has another name, but after studying Dmitry Klokov and Olympic weightlifting for years, we call them Klokov Stiff Legged Deadlifts in his honor. If there’s an official name, let us know. It’s differs from a traditional Stiff Legged Deadlift in a few ways: -you will start with the bar away from your shins. Your toes will just peek out when you look over the bar -you will begin every rep from a dead stop -when you lift up, you won’t lock it out all the way. Stop at the “power position” It will feel weird. Like other Stiff Legged Deadlifts, you’ll want to keep a neutral spine throughout the whole movement. If you round your back, you won’t be hitting the muscle groups you want to hit with this exercise. The goal with this is to hinge at the hips, your knees and ankles shouldn’t be actively bending. Think “hips back” not “bend forward”. You should have a slight bend in the knees, but the knees shouldn’t be moving.
