Flying through Central London in a PA28 from Blackbushe to Elstree airfield

Today was a nice clear day around the airspace over London. It was also my friends girlfriends birthday so I convinced him to take her for a flight experience, with yours truly as their captain. I decided to fly through central London as I have never done that before, and each adventure is a new experience for me to learn something different. As we took off, I climbed to 2400ft as the London TMA is not above 2500ft on the QNH. By the time I we got to Banstead which is about 15nm from city airport, I contacted Thames radar for a zone transit, they then advised me to contact Heathrow radar which I did. Heathrow Radar directed me to take the southern route which I thought they were advising me to go out of their zone, but they responded we will approve your transit but we just want you to stay clear. I felt an urge of excitement as I had never done this transit before. They directed to to go towards the 02 building at not above 1300ft on the QNH it was such a beautiful scenery and managed to get some great shots. In G-BOOF
