[KHI C151 071/072 - Joyride from NS9 Woodlands to NS10 Admiralty] Date filmed: 14 August 2024 Time of recording: 1909hrs Towards: (5) Marina South Pier Train Model: Kawasaki Heavy Industries C151 (GTO-VVVF Variant) Train Run: 433 Depot of Origin: Ulu Pandan Depot Final Destination Depot: Ulu Pandan Depot Carriage filmed at: 2072 door A4/B4 area (No. 2 end) AM/PM/Full Day: PM Peak Service (from Ulu Pandan Depot, Late Night Service) This video features a Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI) C151, trainset 071/072, which is from Ulu Pandan Depot (UPD), to serve the North-South Line (NSL) for the PM Rush Hours, from NS9 Woodlands to NS10 Admiralty stations, bound for NS28 Marina South Pier. For the entire of the year 2026, I will be uploading backlog KHI C151s videos that I currently have, slowly releasing them day by day for nostagia purposes. Enjoy them while you can! This was filmed when KHI C151s were still allowed to be deployed onto Full Day or Late Night deployment runs, before only being restricted to run during the peak hours from October 2024 onwards, owning to multiple issues that surfaced after EMU 065/066 derailment incident in September 2024. Not very sure how Trainset 071/072 appeared from Ulu Pandan Depot to serve the North-South Line for the PM Rush Hours, when it was last seen withdrawing back into Bishan Depot via a BSD AM Withdrawal Slot. But anyways, it is still nice to capture a KHI C151 on the North-South Line anyways with a strong motor that is present on carriage 2072 door A4/B4. Trainset 071/072 has unfortunately been retired from the entire NSEWL network, with EMU 071 being sent for scrapping on 29th August 2025 and EMU 072 on 1st September 2025. 📲 Follow me on socials!
