Swing Dancing - Advanced Spins & Pivots

In this month's Advanced class, Derek and Jo took a deep dive into spins and pivots with some fancy variations to add that WOW factor to your dancing! We had spins for both follows AND for leaders, and some super surprising variations. The main difference between a turn and a spin or pivot is whether we step through the turn, or spin/pivot on one foot. In Lindy Hop we usually step through our turns as it allows us to travel while we turn (eg. swing-outs, pass-bys, etc). On the other hand, a spin is when you turn on one foot which requires more balance and control, but can be super fun and fancy!
