Come join us for a delicious Argentine BBQ in Cordoba, Argentina with Daniel as we prepare an Asado Grill. We kick things off in Buenos Aires moments before heading to the bus terminal to take an overnight bus to Cordoba. Upon arriving in Cordoba, we settle into our apartment before deciding to prepare our own Argentinian Asado. After picking up the supplies we crack open a bottle of Quorum Norton Malbec 2003 carried around in our backpacks for weeks. After grilling all of the delicious Argentine meat we sit down for a feast of feasts. One of the best parts of traveling around Argentina is that most accommodations feature a diy grill. This means it is easy to prepare your own Argentine BBQ. You just need to go to a local grocery store or butcher to grab your supplies and you are good to go! 🥩 Last Days in Buenos Aires + Overnight Bus + Argentine Asado BBQ Feast in Mendoza 🇦🇷 🚍 Farewell to Buenos Aires & Overnight Bus Adventure The video opens with Samuel and Audrey wrapping up their time in Buenos Aires, Argentina, after several days spent feasting around the city. With time flying by, they prepare to head to the Retiro Bus Terminal to catch an overnight bus to Mendoza. There’s a bit of admin and packing to do, but spirits are high as they look forward to new adventures and good food in Mendoza. 🔥 Arrival in Mendoza & Prepping for Argentine Asado BBQ Upon arrival in Mendoza, the duo wastes no time—it's straight to planning an Argentine asado BBQ! After a busy morning running errands, they make it to the butcher just before the midday siesta (when everything closes in Argentina), picking up a variety of classic cuts: Vacio (flank steak) Tapa de asado Blood sausage (morcilla) Italian sausage Fresh bread, avocado, and some Malbec wine (including a special 2003 vintage carried all the way from Patagonia!). 🍷 The Wine Ritual: Toasting with a 2003 Malbec With everything ready, it’s time for a special toast. The group opens their prized 2003 Malbec—a bottle that’s been on quite a journey—and shares a heartfelt “cheers” to new beginnings in Mendoza. The wine is described as velvety, smooth, and truly memorable, marking the end of a long “wine road trip” through Argentina. 🥓 Asado Round 1: Blood Sausage & Italian Sausage The feast begins with classic morcilla (blood sausage) and Italian sausage hot off the grill. The blood sausage is described as rich and creamy—almost like a savory pudding—and makes the perfect appetizer for the meat extravaganza ahead. 🍖 Asado Round 2: Tapa de Asado & Chimichurri Magic Next up is tapa de asado, simply seasoned with a special coarse salt (“sal parrillera”). The hosts explain that Argentine beef is so flavorful, it only needs salt—no heavy sauces required. Chimichurri is used as a zesty, garlicky addition for those who want extra flavor. The results: juicy, perfectly cooked beef that needs nothing more than salt to shine. 🥩 Asado Round 3: Vacio – The Main Event The main event is the massive vacio (flank steak), juicy and packed with flavor. Even without salads or sides, this becomes a true “meat fest for the ages.” The group enjoys every bite, with plenty of leftovers for days to come. 🐕 Giving Back: Feeding Stray Dogs at the Bus Station After the meal, there’s a heartwarming moment: the group heads to the bus station with leftover meat to feed the stray dogs waiting there. It’s a lovely reminder of sharing and caring on the road. ☕ Sweet Finish: Alfajores, Coffee & Tea To close out the feast, it’s time for dessert with artisanal Argentine alfajores filled with dulce de leche, strawberry jam, and quince jam. These traditional treats pair perfectly with Irish coffee, café au lait, and tea as everyone relaxes after a kingly meal. 💬 Reflections: The Argentine Asado Experience The hosts reflect on the incredible asado grill, the endless parade of meats, and the sheer joy of eating together without worrying about etiquette. It’s about savoring every moment, being present, and enjoying Argentine food culture to the fullest. 👍 LIKE | 💬 COMMENT | 🔔 SUBSCRIBE Love Argentine food and travel?
