Today’s run starts in Bakersfield, California, and the goal is straightforward: head north on CA-99 to Stockton and get this load of large hydro spun rolls unloaded later this morning. After the long push across the Southwest, this leg trades desert highway for the busy freight corridor that runs through the heart of California’s Central Valley. This drive follows CA-99 northbound out of Bakersfield and up through some of the most important agricultural and freight country in the state. The route moves through the Valley past places like Delano, Tulare, Fresno, Madera, Merced, Modesto, and Manteca before reaching Stockton. It is a different kind of run than the open interstate miles farther east, with more traffic, more city-to-city movement, and the feel of working through one of California’s main north-south trucking lanes. For this video, viewers should get a strong look at the Central Valley corridor as we finish the trip and make our way into Stockton. Come ride along with us for this northbound California run and join the chat as we make our way up CA-99 to Stockton.
