Volume 7, Episode 1. George Egg is the Snack Hacker, demonstrating fast, easy, innovative ideas for tasty bites. We're back with Volume 5, and while international travel continues to be rather difficult, George brings Barcelona to his Brighton kitchen with an ultra-easy chopping-free version of the classic Spanish omelette. Deliciosa! INGREDIENTS: 1 packet of vac-packed sliced sautéed potatoes (Lidl do a good one) 4 large eggs 2 handfuls of fried crispy onions garlic salt red wine vinegar METHOD: Fry the potatoes in a pan over a medium heat for five minutes before adding the onions. Give it another five minutes until the potatoes start to colour. Meanwhile beat the eggs in a bowl and season with the garlic salt before adding the potato mixture and stirring it all together. Get the pan nice and hot again, pour in the mixture, drop the heat to as low as it will go and let it cook until the surface is just thinking about setting, but not quite set yet. Then do a flip-flop by inverting the pan onto a board or plate, inverting the boarded-omelette onto another board or plate, then inverting the pan on top of the omelette and returning it to the pan, now upside-down. Turn off the heat and leave it for a few minutes before removing from the pan and leaving to cool.
