This is Game 1 of the Finals match between NameOfStone and adelta in the April 2023 Beginner Tak Tournament. NameOfStone made it through to the finals with no real hiccups, only losing a single game in the round robin stage and sweeping through the semifinals. adelta, on the other hand, fought hard for her spot in the finals by winning a 3-way tie for the top spot in her round-robin group and winning a blitz tiebreaker in the semifinals against tymon that lasted 6 games. Who will come out on top? Watch and find out ;) 0:00 Introduction 1:00 Game 1 This is the 2023 Q2 Beginner Tak Tournament, which is played on a 6x6 board with a 15-minute time limit for each player and a 10-second increment per turn. These are 2-game matches, so the players get a chance to play as each color when facing each opponent. The tournament was played in four round-robin groups with the winner of each group moving on to a single-elimination playoff bracket. The first-place winner of this tournament gets their pick of the Wolf and Hawk metal capstones or a 2nd Edition Tak Set(provided by Greater Than Games) as a prize with second place taking what remains. Additionally, there is a drawing for 4 random players who completed all of their games to win either a paperback copy of Mastering Tak: Level 1 or a high-level game review from a top player.
