Jugadu Baklava - (No Phylo Pastry Required) Tomorrow is valentines day & no im not making any hearty shaped food, more over im making food that will make people smile & makes you smile with just 1 bite, that is what baklava is to me, there are no sad faces when eating a baklava & its a happy sweet dish which is just layered with love & dry fruits & butter 😂. Now a major reason why people dont make baklava is because phyllo pastry is not very accessible & easy to find in your local store, so did an experiment & made them with spring rolls sheets or samosa patti, they turned out fantastic & your going to love me for this. So go ahead try out the recipe & happy valentines day. Ingredients For the syrup 1 1/2 cup water 3/4 cup sugar 3/4 cup honey Juice of half lemon Pinch of salt 1 small cinnamon stick Other ingredients 250 gm pistachios 250 gm walnuts 20-25 spring roll sheets 250 gm melted butter *Bake at 180°C for 25-30 mins *first 2 layers & late 2 layers dont contain the dry fruits.
