Agencies and referral partners are often responsible for deciding where first responders are sent for support — but first responders don’t always experience those referrals the way they’re intended. In this live conversation, first responders share lived experience around what actually makes a support program feel credible — and what causes trust to break down. This is not a clinical lecture or a checklist, but an honest discussion grounded in real-world experience. We’ll explore: How first responders experience referrals once they’re made Why trust, culture, and environment matter as much as credentials What helps first responders stay engaged versus shut down What agencies should understand before referring their people This session is designed to support agencies, EAPs, peer teams, and referral partners by offering insight directly from first responders who have been on the receiving end of support programs — both those that helped and those that missed the mark. Additional referral support resources will be shared at the close of the session.
