Jeff Biriyani | Bohra Biryani | Bohri Biryani | Chicken Dum Biriyani | Claypot Recipes Ingredients for Marination ----------------------------------------- Chicken - 500 gms Turmeric Powder - 1/4 teaspoon Kashmiri Chili Powder - 1/2 teaspoon Coriander Powder - 1/2 tablespoon Garam Masala powder - 1 teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 teaspoon Curd - 1/4 cup Green Chilli Paste - 1 tablespoon Salt - 1 teaspoon Other ingredients: ------------------ Basmati (long grain) Rice - 2 cup Potato (diced) - 1 medium Tomato (sliced) - 1 medium Whole spices - Cardamom, star anise, cinnamon, cloves Fried onions - 1 medium Coriander leaves Mint leaves Saffron mix - Pich of saffron diluted in 2 tablespoon of water Cooking Method -------------------------- 1) Marinate Chicken: -Take the chicken in a bowl, add turmeric powder, chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, salt, ginger garlic paste, green chilli paste curd and mix everything well -Marinate it for about 30 minutes 2) Cook the Rice: Boil water in a pan and add whole spices,salt,oil Add 2 cup of basmati rice (soaked for 30 mins) and cook till 3/4 (80%) done. Drain in a colander. 3) Cook chicken in a Claypot: -Heat a claypot and add 1/4cup oil, add the whole spices and roast them -Add potato saute till they are golden colour, set aside. -In the same oil add marinated chicken, fry it on 5 mins on high flame, after cook it for 10 mints on medium flame. -Add tomato and fried onions mix well and cover and cook for 20 mints stir occasionally. -Now add potato fried mix well add coriander leaves. -Add the 3/4th cooked rice into the clay pot. Spread the rice evenly. -Add saffron mix and Mint leaves. -Seal the clay pot with wheat dough and place a lid on top and cook it for about 30 mins (low flame) -After about 30 mins turn off the stove and mix the biryani and serve the biryani hot with onion raita #claypotrecipes #jeffbiriyani #bohribiryani #bohrabiryani
