Read the blog on this topic here: ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ When you become a lover of truth you are able to overcome the lies of the devil. 9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. (2 Thessalonians 2:9-12) It’s THE truth that makes us free. & it’s only Jesus that can set us free. The only reason people become deceived is when they continue to believe and meditate on the lies. Deceived people deceive people. & the worst thing about a deceived person, is they don’t even know they are deceived. It is only TRUTH that can make them free. One of the biggest lies, is when people believe the lie is their truth. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32) You can’t continue to be God’s example and at the same time be the devil’s sample. 42 Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me. 43 Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. 44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. 45 But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me. 46 Which of you convicts Me of sin? And if I tell the truth, why do you not believe Me? 47 He who is of God hears God’s words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God.” (John 8:42-47) You either believe the father of lies… or the Father of life. Jesus is the way, the truth, the life. Just because we’ve heard a statement first, does not mean it’s true. This is why the enemy wants to spread lies to you fast & first so you can believe what you heard growing up as a child. It’s easy to plant a seed in childhood & water it through adulthood. What if those lies in a form of ‘seed’ form come early in our lives? Renewing the mind is needed as believers. (Romans 12:2) Truth is God’s word. Truth never changes! How to overcome these lies? #1 God’s word. We are called to test everything we hear against scripture. 16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16-17) #2 Prayer 27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. (Romans 8:27) When we pray according to God's will, we are assured that it is of the Lord. Let's pray THY will of my will type of prayers. #3 Holy Spirit 13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.
