Breakfast Pizza Refrigerated pizza crust 1 pound breakfast sausage 3 tablespoons butter plus 1 tablespoon 3 tablespoons flour 2 cups half and half or milk plus 1 tablespoon Salt and pepper, to taste 5 eggs 8 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded 1/2 pound bacon, cooked, crumbled 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded Green onions, chopped, for garnish Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Roll a pizza crust onto a greased cookie sheet and poke holes in the crust with the fork. Another option is to cut a piece of parchment paper longer than your cookie sheet, then you can slide the breakfast pizza off after it’s cooked. Put into oven for 5 minutes. Brown sausage in a skillet over medium heat then drain grease. Add 3 tablespoons butter and flour and cook for a few minutes. Slowly stir in 2 cups of half and half. Once it’s thickened up, season with salt and pepper and set aside. Congratulations, now you have made “Sausage Gravy”. Whisk together eggs with a tablespoon of half and half or milk. Cook in a tablespoon of butter but undercook them as they will continue to cook in the oven. Spread the gravy on the pizza crust onto, then top with mozzarella cheese, then the eggs, then bacon, then cheddar cheese. Bake for 7-9 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the crust is golden brown. Garnish with green onions. Pizza slices can be wrapped individually and placed in the freezer.
