Cursed Parking Tower & "No Peace for Veterans" 2025-05-05 - Intent of this ride video was to document the Wayne parking tower before they tear it down - but it expanded into a more thorough examination of the doomed structure's history, the Veterans' Peace Memorial (which is sadly part of the demolition) and the newer Veterans' memorial next to City Hall. I present new footage inside the fenced-off perimeter combined with last year's footage of the elevated top-level view of the area before spiraling down to the library. Still images from the Wayne Historical Society, and photos from my past ride photo-journals are also used. I have been told that CB Radio users occasionally parked on the top level to skip signals as far as Florida; The narrative gets sidetracked a couple times - once by a fireplug with human attributes, and by swarming KFC-loving wasps near the Peace Memorial. Also included is a mini jaunt down Westbound Michigan Ave. from Second, on the way to the new Veterans' memorial further south on Wayne Rd.: Had to drop some sound passing by the bar, as they were playing copyrighted music that might invoke YouTube's wrath; As my viewers may realize, I am opinionated, and exploit the journal opportunity to editorialize as a veteran on war and peace - and to make obscure humorous observations in attempt to add entertainment value.
