#FoamingSoapTablets #CosmeticFormulation #FormulationScience #DIYCosmetics #StabilityTesting #SoapMakingEducation I changed too much — and my foaming soap tablets paid the price. In this video, I walk you through the hard formulation lesson that brought me back to basics with Foaming Soap Tablets V1.1. This is the first video of 2026 in my new problem-first format: problem → consequence → solution. My original foaming soap tablet formula worked beautifully. It had great foam, crystal-clear clarity in a foamer bottle, and no long-term stability issues. The only problem was regulatory — a preservative change affecting a couple of states. Instead of making a small, targeted adjustment, I over-engineered Version 2. I added more conditioning ingredients, more surfactants, more “helpers”… and that’s where things quietly went wrong. Over time, the tablets became sticky, hygroscopic, and unstable. The structure failed — not because the ingredients were bad, but because the balance was broken. In this video, I explain: Why hygroscopic ingredients can destroy tablet stability Why structure always comes first in solid formulations What actually caused Version 2 to fail long-term Why Foaming Soap Tablets V1.1 is a correction, not a reinvention Then I take you to Creation Station and walk you step-by-step through making Foaming Soap Tablets V1.1, explaining what stayed the same, what changed, and why those small tweaks make all the difference. Key takeaway: When a formula works, respect it. Don’t fix what isn’t broken.
