Creating Ownership | Avantika Thakur | TEDxMAIS

Transcending location or demographic, education is one concept that is valued across the globe. And so former Teach for India fellow Avantika Thakur shares her story on creating ownership in children to improve learning through her talk, "Creating Ownership," which shares her journey from working in under-resourced schools in rural India to transferring her hands-on experience into education policy solutions on a governmental scale. Avantika Thakur is a former Teach For India fellow. Her hands-on experience with education- especially with that offered in under-resourced schools - allowed her to better understand the state of learning enabled in India. Today, she is a member of the Haryana Chief Minister's Good Governance Associates. Collectively, they work as experienced third parties that supervise the running of fundamental governmental activities. These makes government actions and decisions more efficient, effective and well-informed.
