Join our FB Community: / 330122425543661 Pabst Blue Reuben (Beer battered Reuben Sandwich) Makes 4: 2 cups all-purpose flour (plus a bit more if needed) 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon pepper 16oz beer of choice 8 slices rye bread 12oz thin sliced corned beef 16oz sauerkraut, warmed 8 slices Swiss cheese Russian dressing (for dipping) 2-2.5qts oil for deep frying. 1. In a medium bowl, combine flour, salt & pepper 2. Slowly whisk in beer. Once beer has been added, if the batter is too thin, add more flour, a tablespoon at a time until batter has reached the consistency of pancake batter 3. Assemble sandwiches. Each Sammy is 2 slices rye, 3oz sliced corned beef, ¼ cup warmed sauerkraut, 2 slices of Swiss cheese. 4. Cut sandwiches in half into triangles. 5. Using 3 toothpicks per triangle, insert toothpicks at an angle to hold sandwich together. 6. Heat oil to 375 degrees F 7. Working with enough of the sandwich halves to not overcrowd the oil, dip each sandwich half into batter, flip to completely coat. Place into hot oil. Repeat remainder of first batch. 8. Cook fir about 3 minutes, and flip, cooking additional 3 minutes. Flip again if necessary until coating is golden browned. 9. Remove to wire rack to drain and continue with the rest of the sandwiches. 10. Once all sandwiches are cooked, go through and REMOVE THE TOOTHPICKS. 11. Serve hot with Russian dressing on the side for dipping. 12. Shove it in your face! 13. Enjoy! Bone apple yeet!
