Join our FB Community: / 330122425543661 Sloppy Joes: 1.5lbs 90% lean ground beef 1 cup onion, diced ¼ inch 1 cup red bell pepper, diced ¼ inch 1 cup celery, diced ¼ inch 1 jalapeno, diced small 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon black pepper 4 cloves garlic, pressed or minced fine 2 tablespoons whiskey 1 6oz can tomato paste 1 8oz can tomato sauce 1 teaspoon ground mustard 1 tablespoon brown sugar 1 tablespoon Worchestershire Sauce 1 In large frying pan over medium high heat, place the beef in and spread out. Allow to cook for 3 minutes undisturbed 2 After the 3 minutes, stir and begin to break the meat into smaller chunks 3 Add onion, bell pepper, celery, jalapeno, salt, & pepper. Cook, stirring often until vegetables soften 4 Add garlic and cook until it has softened and is fragrant 5 Reduce heat to medium and add whiskey. Allow to cook for 2 minutes to vaporize the alcohol. 6 Add the tomato paste. Stir thoroughly to combine, and cook for one minute 7 Add tomato sauce and mix well 8 Add ground mustard, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. 9 Reduce heat to low and allow to simmer until desired consistency is reached, about 15 minutes. 10 Serve on buns with whatever condiments you desire 11 Enjoy!
