A Carrier 1-ton window/wall air conditioner installed in my kitchen. This is an excellent quality machine, it operates very quietly and efficiently. In my opinion, Carrier made some of the best quality air conditioners during this era. I forgot to mention during the video that the temperature regulation of this unit, even with the fan set to automatic, is absolutely fantastic. It keeps the temperature of the room within 0.5 degrees of the set point. This is the quietest 1 ton unit I've ever heard. Power consumption is impressively low, the unit was consuming only 9.3 amps when the temperature indoors and outdoors was 75 degrees with high humidity. No performance is sacrificed to achieve these results--the machine feels every bit and them some of it's claimed 12,000 BTU capacity. I believe this is a high hours machine. From what I understand, I purchased it from the grandson of the original owner, who used it up until I bought it last year. The base pan is severely rusted out, completely through in some spots, yet both coils remain in very good condition with minimal rust. Compressor mounts are still in tact with very little rust damage.
