Hello beautiful family and friends 🤗, today we're making Pretzel bites and homemade cheese sauce. YUMMY 🤤 Let's get started... Ingredients: 1 can of biscuits (any kind) baking soda (about 1/4 cup) 1 egg for eggwash Cheese sauce: 2 TBSP of butter, 2 TBSP flour, 8 oz shredded Colby Jack cheese, 8 oz shredded pepper jack cheese, 8 oz Velveeta (cubed), approximately 2 and a half cups of milk. Begin by opening the biscuits, we're going to take each biscuit and roll it into a log. Then cut into 3-4 sections). Place the pieces on a cutting board or tray. Get a parchment lined baking sheet prepared and set aside. Continue until all biscuits have been done this way. Preheat your oven to 350°. Start a pot of water on to boil. Once it's boiling, pour in the baking soda. It's going to fizz , it's okay. Drop about four or five biscuit pieces at a time. I began by adding too many, you don't want to do that. Turn your heat down just a little. They should only be in the water about 20 to 30 seconds maximum. When they float to the top you will know they are done. If for some reason they do not float, still continue to let them be in there for 20 to 30 seconds. This step is very important to making the pretzel bites. After you ladle out the pretzel bites out of the baking soda water place on your parchment lined baking sheet. Continue until all have went into the baking soda water. Once they are all done get your egg and scramble it and we are going to brush egg on each pretzel bite. If you have coarse salt or sea salt it is good to add that on top before you bake it.(optional) Once you have done all of them with the egg wash, place it in your preheated 350° oven for approximately 20 to 25 minutes. Everybody's oven is different so keep an eye on it, but you are looking for golden brown. Let's get started on a cheese sauce: Begin by adding two tablespoons of butter to your skillet set to medium high. let the butter melt down and then add in your flour. Whisk that together until the flour is baked in. Go ahead and add in one cup of milk, and 8 oz every colby jack shredded cheese. (you can use whatever cheese you like) Whisk this together until the cheese starts to get really good and melty. Turn your heat down to medium low. we do not want to rush this, we do not want to burn our cheese. if you cook it on too high of a heat the cheese will be grainy and that tastes yucky. now that the first batch of shredded cheese is getting good and melted go ahead and add in the pepper jack cheese. repeat the process and let that get good and melty go ahead and add in another cup of milk. add in your cubed Velveeta add another half a cup of milk. keep stirring this until it's all good and melted. that's it! 😋 make sure to remove your pretzel bites from your oven, and enjoy dipping them in the cheese sauce. 🥨🤗❤️ if you're enjoying the channel please leave a like subscribe and share.
