Buses in Blanchardstown | December 2025

A video showing buses at the Blanchardstown Centre (west Dublin), recorded in December 2025. For the second year in a row [   • Blanchardstown Buses | December 2024  ], a visit was made to the Blanchardstown Shopping Centre during the post-Christmas period. There have not been many changes to the bus network in the area since the last visit. One change includes TFI route 139. Operator JJ Kavanagh purchased some Mercedes Citaro buses to operate this route, however only one features in this video. The other two buses observed on the day were Volvo Evoras which operated the route for many years. Bus Eireann account for the other main changes. In May 2025 route 105 was extended east from Blanchardtsown Hospital to the railway station at Navan Road Parkway. The other change is more routes now access the centre from the Snugborough Road interchange end. Apart from these alterations, Dublin Bus and Go-Ahead Ireland still operate the city services in and around the area. Some of the older Enviro 500 VT Class buses still appear on route 39, even as they head into their 18th year in service. One of the VTs seen here retains its Dublin Bus livery. The rest of the city buses observed are mostly different Wrightbus vehicles, with a few Enviro 400ER buses in the mix. Double-decker coaches dominate the different Bus Eireann services, although a Volvo Sunsundegui single-decker does make an appearance on route 105.
