Silent Hiking Jotunheimen & Rondane National Park Circuit | Norway Hiking Adventure 100 Km

In September 2025, I set out with my wife and our dog on a multi-day circuit through Jotunheimen and Rondane National Parks, two of Norway’s most iconic mountain regions. The journey covered about 120 kilometers, winding across high alpine plateaus, deep glacial valleys, and rugged peaks. Along the way, we passed dramatic glaciers, pristine lakes, and stood beneath some of the highest summits in Northern Europe, including Galdhøpiggen (2,469m / 8,100ft) and Glittertind (2,465m / 8,087ft) in Jotunheimen. Crossing into Rondane, the route revealed stark and otherworldly mountain landscapes within Norway’s first national park. High passes opened to sweeping views of the legendary Rondane massif, while quiet stretches offered encounters with wild reindeer and the soft, golden light of late summer.
